简单而言，自爱是爱到放下自我的境界，对自己不离不弃。很少人能真正自爱，因为无法放下自我的执着，又容不下别人，无法做到豁达从容。
自恋则是自我放纵的结果，包庇和维护自己的缺点，原谅自己的一切，太在乎自己，容易忽略别人的感受。
自私却是包庇自己之余同时剥削别人，苛求别人，希望或利用别人成全和迁就自己。自私的人不懂得爱，自我中心，无法与人同情共感。
自爱的人散发爱，自恋的人封闭爱，自私的人要求爱。
先检查你自己属哪一种人，才有能力替别人定案。能做到不自私，觉知到自恋已经很不错，再修下去才是真正的自爱。
其实，这也是一条问自己是否有错爱的问题。
很多人都不清楚自己是否爱错了对象，以为和爱人合不来的原因是因为某方太自私或太自恋，或者只知自己不够自爱，却不知原来自己从来太自私，自恋到拒绝去爱。
只有愿意自爱的人，才知道自己到底有没有错爱，是否活在爱之中。其它的，只是在爱的概念上兜圈转而已。
